Initial Value Problem for General Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems with Characteristics with Constant Multiplicity

Abstract

The authors consider the global existence and the blow-up phenomenon of classical solutions with small amplitude to the Cauchy problem for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristics with constant multiplicity and given some applications.
